The most influential ninja anime of the 90s returns to North America

 

Ninja Scroll is one of the most iconic and influential anime of the 1990s. 

Now, it's coming back in a big way, with a new theatrical release planned in honor of the legendary film's 30th anniversary.

Via a press release, and revealed at Anime Expo 2024, the upcoming theatrical release is part of a wave of similar screenings set to take place in 2024 and 2025. Available in two different formats, the film will be able to reach a wider audience than ever before. Teased by a collaboration between HIDIVE and one of the largest cinema chains in the US, tickets are expected to be made available soon.

  As you would expect from one of the largest anime conventions in the United States, Anime Expo 2024 has a major cosplay presence. People from all walks of life come to be among the first to see the latest announcements for their favorite shows or even demo games that have yet to come out.
